From an early age Tamara has been captivated by makeup and the arts.

"I used to sneak into my mother’s makeup drawer and put makeup on my older brother and Me."

Her passion was always encouraged by her mother, who still continues to inspire her today. Her mother is one of the many members in her family who share a love for the arts. Coming from a family with generations of artists, Tamara had art in her blood. After going through a rough childhood and overcoming a lot of bumps in the road, she found her calling in life- making women feel beautiful! Tamara has always dreamed of being everything that she knew she could be. Her vivacious and creative spirit needed to find a continual outlet. That free spirited nature lead to an exploration of make-up, photography and design.  

"I needed to find myself, I wanted more. I wanted to prove to everyone who had doubted me or hurt me that I could be successful. Makeup is my passion, something so strong inside that I have to release."

She has been in the industry of fashion, art, and modeling since she was a child and had her chance to be in front of the camera and modeling at a young age. Now she love’s to be behind the camera and behind the scenes of a shoot. 

"Once i started doing makeup and taking photos I knew this was meant to be, this is me."

Tamara is a self-taught freelance makeup artist with experience in all types of makeup from fantasy to bridal.  

"I do fantasy, print, runway, bridal, day and night makeup, i love it all."

Tamara is also a mama to her 2 year old son Noah and Wife to Andy. She is originally from Orange County California where most of her family still resides. She moved to Inyo County California in September of 2005 and she loves the beauty and peacefulness of the area.

“No matter what window you look out you see beauty- stream, mountains, horses, fields of grass.”

Tamara believes every single woman has the potential to be beautiful with the right attitude and the ability to use makeup.

"I love to see a woman’s face after i have done her makeup and see her light up. I feel God gave me this gift and I want to use my abilities to make women feel better about them selves, Glory to Him!"

Tamara created Face On By Tamara, her freelance makeup business, and does all types of makeup out of her home in Inyo County, Ca.
